Bienensticke - "Beehives" or "Sting of the Bee" in English.  This is a yeast pastry with Vienna Custard filling, topped with almond/honey glaze.  This is a very rich pastry but not too sweet. It looks too simple to taste this good, but do not be decieved by your eyes and give it a try.  We try to keep this treat on the shelves at all times.

Quark Cheesecake - This German cheese based cake is another not-too-sweet item, but that does not mean tasteless.  For those who do not know, Quark is a cream cheese that does not taste anything like the cheese used in New York style cheese cake.  Our cheesecake has a stronger texture and lighter flavor.  We offer standard flavors of apple and cherry, but you can order raisin, blueberry, strawberry, or raspberry  We almost always make this delight on Wednesdays, so be sure to have your order in before then.

Marzipan Cake or Kupel Torte- Although I know how to pronounce the German name for this cake, I am not sure of the spelling.  So until I have that, I will just describe the cake.  We start with our standard (delicious and moist) sponge cake.  We make it into three layers.  We glaze the inside of the cake with a rum flavored glaze to keep the moisture balance in tact.  Then between each layer, we add in a layer of cherries and a layer of marzipan butter cream icing. Then we cover the outside of the cake with marzipan butter cream icing.  We top it off with rolled marzipan thick enough to be luxurious, but not so thick as to be out of balance with the rest of the flavors.  This is our white marzipan cake.  For chocolate, we treat it the same, except we add melted 100% German Dark Chocolate to the marzipan butter cream icing.  We also cover the rolled marzipan with the same dark chocolate poured over top and let harden.  Lyne has gotten excited with this cake and added a chocolate, chocolate marzipan cake.  It is the same as our chocolate marzipan cake, except she uses a chocolate sponge cake instead of our standard white sponge cake.  Quite a chocolate overload for anyone up to the challenge.

Nougat rings and tips - Luxurious hazelnut cream with dark cocoa made into a paste, dipped in pure dark chocolate on a shortbread cookie.  Two layers of rings on top of a shortbread cookie or a smaller stand-up version called a tip.  We have recently added a small one-bite size we call Nougat Kisses.  Such richness is for the truly adventurous.

Apple Cake - shortbread cookie crust - top and bottom - with spiced apple filling.  Topped with a glaze of icing sugar, just enough to sparkle.  Simple in sound, but marvelous to eat.

Horseshoes - Our own marzipan rolled in slivered almonds, baked and dipped in chocolate.

Danishes - Butter crumble danish are a favorite of the German community.  With a minimum order of 12, you can find out why.  Simple is sometimes the most amazing tastes.

Cookies - We make an unique selection of cookies.  We do a variety of cookies.  Some are standard bakery staples, but most are unique recipes specially developed by us, inluding the Splenda based shortbread cookie dipped in no-sugar chocolate.  These have such a wonderful taste, people without sugar problems enjoy them too.

Strudels - Have you been looking for poppyseed, marzipan or fruit strudels???  Well, look no further.  We offer all of these.  Our strudels are 14" long.  We even do extra filling such as poppyseed strudels with extra poppyseed and raisins.  Our standard fruit strudels are apple and cherry.  However, we can offer blueberry, raspberry and strawberry if ordered ahead.  Also, apple and walnut with raisin strudel.  Get creative with your orders, we may surprise you.  NEW to our lineup are sugar-free apple strudel.  A recipe develeoped by Lyne and Andre, there are no sugar substitutes of any sort involved.  This does not mean it tastes like cardboard, on the contrary, we would not serve it if it were not good enough for us to eat ourselves.  Order at least a day ahead.
